Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Lincoln Bins (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you visit www.lincolnbins.com (the “Site”), book a bin cleaning, request a quote, or use our curbside trash-can cleaning service. By using the Site or our services, you agree to the practices described here.
1. Information we collect
We collect the following categories of information:
- Booking and contact details you submit through a form, phone call, or text (name, phone number, email address, and the number of bins and plan you choose).
- Service address — the address where your bins sit on the curb, so we can find your home on trash day and confirm you are inside our service area.
- Photos of your bins — the before-and-after photos we take of your cans at the curb, which we text to you and keep as a record that the job was done.
- Payment information — processed securely by our payment provider (Stripe) to take your $1 deposit and charge the balance after the service. We do not store full card numbers on our own systems.
- Usage analytics collected automatically when you browse the Site (pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type, referring URL).
- Cookies and similar technologies used to keep the Site running and to remember your booking selection.
2. How we use it
- To take bookings, collect your $1 deposit, and schedule your clean.
- To clean, sanitize, and deodorize your bins on trash day, and to charge the balance once the service is complete.
- To text you the before-and-after photo and send confirmations, reminders, and follow-up messages related to your service.
- To confirm your address is within our roughly 30-minute service radius of Lincoln.
- To improve the Site, our pricing, and our service offerings.
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms & Conditions.
3. SMS and text messaging
Texting is how we work. When you book or check the text-message box on our form, you agree to receive SMS text messages from Lincoln Bins at the mobile number you provide. Our services and our messaging program are offered only in the United States, to U.S. mobile numbers, for our local service area.
- Types of messages. We send service messages (booking confirmations, trash-day reminders, your before-and-after photo, balance receipts, and follow-ups) and, if you opt in, occasional offers and tips.
- Consent is not a condition of purchase. You do not have to agree to marketing texts to book a clean.
- Message frequency. Frequency varies based on your plan and the status of your service.
- Rates. Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile carrier and plan.
- Opt out. Reply STOP to any text to cancel. We send one confirmation and then stop messaging that number unless you start a new request.
- Help. Reply HELP for help, or contact us at (402) 555-0123 or hello@lincolnbins.com.
- Carriers. Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
No mobile information or text-messaging consent is shared with or sold to third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. The phone number and SMS consent you provide are used only to operate the text-messaging program described above. We share your number with messaging vendors solely to deliver these messages on our behalf, and they may not use it for any other purpose.
4. Service providers we use
We share limited information with a small number of vendors who help us run the business. These vendors are bound by contract to use the information only on our behalf:
- Booking and messaging — we use Sable to power online booking, scheduling, and the texts and emails we send about your service.
- Payments — we use Stripe to securely process your $1 deposit and the balance after your clean. Stripe handles your card details under its own privacy policy.
- Maps and service area — we use Google Maps to check drive time and confirm your address falls inside our service area.
- Hosting and DNS — the Site is served from a content delivery network and may be cached at edge locations.
- Analytics — aggregated, privacy-respecting analytics to understand which pages people use.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties for advertising purposes.
5. How long we keep it
Booking and service information, including before-and-after photos, is retained for as long as is reasonably needed to deliver your cleans (including recurring plans) and for legitimate business and tax records. Aggregated analytics data is retained on a rolling 24-month window.
6. Your choices
- Email opt-out. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link. Transactional messages tied to a booking will continue.
- Text-message opt-out. Reply STOP to any text to stop SMS messages, or HELP for help. See the SMS and text messaging section above.
- Cookies. You can decline non-essential cookies from the consent banner or via your browser settings.
- Access, correction, or deletion. You may ask us to confirm what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe.
7. California residents (CCPA / CPRA)
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, gives you additional rights:
- The right to know what categories of personal information we collect, the sources, the purposes, and the categories of third parties with whom we share it.
- The right to request deletion of personal information, subject to legal exceptions.
- The right to correct inaccurate personal information.
- The right to opt out of any “sale” or “sharing” of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not engage in either.
- The right to non-discrimination for exercising any of these rights.
To exercise a California-specific right, email us at the address below and reference “California Privacy Request.”
8. Children
The Site is intended for adults arranging bin-cleaning services. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
9. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information. No internet transmission or storage system is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of the page reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be flagged on the Site.
